1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or engaging services from Mariposa Events & Design, LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.
These Terms govern your use of our website and apply to all inquiries, consultations, quotes, proposals, invoices, and event design and décor services provided by Mariposa Events & Design, LLC.
Separate written agreements, proposals, or event contracts may supplement or override portions of these Terms where explicitly stated.
2. Services and Website Content
Our website provides general information about our event design and décor services and allows visitors to contact us regarding potential projects.
All content on this site—including text, images, design elements, logos, and layout—is the property of Mariposa Events & Design, LLC or used with permission and may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without prior written consent.
3. Quotes, Proposals, and Pricing
All quotes and proposals are based on the information you provide, including event date, venue, scope, design requirements, setup conditions, and timeline.
Pricing may change if:
Event details are modified
Venue requirements differ from what was disclosed
Additional décor, labor, or time is required
Access, setup, or teardown conditions change
Unless otherwise stated in writing, quotes are valid for a limited time, typically 30 days.
4. Right to Decline Services
Mariposa Events & Design, LLC reserves the right to decline or discontinue services for any project that, in our professional judgment, is not a good fit based on availability, scope, timing, safety considerations, or alignment with our services and expertise.
Submitting an inquiry or request for services does not guarantee availability or acceptance of a project. We are committed to respectful, professional interactions and will communicate such decisions clearly and courteously.
5. Booking, Payments, and Refund Policy
Booking & Payments
To reserve an event date, Mariposa Events & Design, LLC requires a signed agreement and an initial payment, the amount of which is determined by the event’s size and scope.
Unless otherwise specified in writing, payment typically follows this structure:
An initial payment due at booking to secure the event date
One or more additional payments due prior to the event
Final balance due before setup or installation begins
Failure to make payments as agreed may result in cancellation of services.
Cancellations by Client
We understand that plans may change. Cancellations are handled fairly and in good faith, taking into account costs already incurred, including but not limited to:
Design time
Sourcing or purchasing décor
Rental commitments
Labor scheduling
Refunds, partial refunds, or credits (if any) are determined based on the timing of cancellation and non-recoverable expenses.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests must be made as soon as possible and are subject to availability.
Payments made may be applied to a new date within six (6) months, provided the new date is available. Additional costs may apply.
Cancellations by Mariposa
If we must cancel for reasons within our control, all payments made will be refunded in full.
If cancellation results from circumstances beyond our control (see Force Majeure), we will work in good faith to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, refunds will exclude non-recoverable costs already incurred.
